About Us

In 2023 our family began discussing what brings us joy. The things that came up the most were cats, houseplants, coffee, and baking. Then it hit us - the four of us have a unique set of skills and experiences that we could use to bring a cat café to Berks County! We visited many cat café’s to learn the ins and outs of this type of business, and we formed relationships with a few cat café owners. Every step of the way it became clearer to us that we are meant to do this work.

Kitt’s Café & Gandalf’s Garden was born. We cannot wait to help homeless cats and kittens find their forever homes and give our community an enjoyable place to sit for a while and refresh, whether that be by sipping on a cup of coffee or tea, enjoying some baked goods, taking in the beautiful houseplants, or spending time with adorable cats and kittens. Kimberly: Owner & General Manager

Kimberly has many years experience in healthcare, animal care, plant care, and management. She has an MBA from Penn State University, as well as BSN, RN and CPC degrees. She is also the lucky mother and bonus mother of 3 amazing people: Jordan, Rhiannon, and Noah. Kitt and Gandalf live with her.

Favorite Type of Cat: Siamese

Rhiannon: Owner & Café Manager

Rhiannon has years of experience with café processes, baking, animal care, and plant care. She has a bachelor’s degree from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in business administration food business management with extensive training in baking and pastry arts. She is ServSafe certified in management and allergens. She adopted 2 cats from our café, Thomas and Newt!

Jordan: Owner & Customer Service Manager

Jordan has years of experience in customer service, management, animal care, plant care, and art/design. She has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in business with a focus in financial services. She has 3 cats of her own, Stella, Ash, and Flashlight.

Favorite Type of Cat: Black

Noah: Owner & Facilities Manager

Noah has years of experience in animal care, plant care, and mechanics. He graduated from BCTC with a certificate in mechanics. We call Noah the animal whisperer, as he is great with all animals he encounters.
